Job summary
The Janitor is responsible for keeping the store clean and orderly. The role includes the cleaning and maintenance of all areas of the store (e.g., floors, windows, railing, entrance grid, garbage, washrooms, lockers, etc.).

Responsibilities:
• Sweep and clean the main retail and Automotive Service Centre area floor.
• Clean the windows.
• Polish the chrome railings at the front of the store.
• Clean the entrance grid as required.
• Empty exterior and interior garbage bins, including in washrooms.
• Disinfect and clean the washrooms including stalls, mirrors, walls, toilets, floors and sink area.
• Fill soap and toilet paper dispensers, and replenish any other washroom supplies, as required.
• Clean the office floors, dusts desks and empty garbage and recycle bins.
• Clean locker and staff room floors, countertops/sinks, appliances and tables.
• Ensure all cleaning equipment is maintained regularly.
• Remove snow from front entrance and exit and emergency exits.
• Strip and buff floors, as required.
• Ensure compliance with Health and Safety regulations.
Requirements / Skills
• Experience in a janitorial/custodial or maintenance role
• Result-oriented
• Ability to handle physical demands including standing/walking for 8 hours while frequently lifting and carrying items, using a ladder, twisting, turning and reaching
• Ability to work shifts (days, evenings, week-ends and holidays)
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to find solutions to problems, adapt and cope with challenging situations and make decisions
• Attention to detail
