Job summary
The Building Maintenance Worker is responsible for the maintenance and repairs related to buildings, grounds and equipment. This role includes basic manual repairs and upkeep for various areas of the property.

Responsibilities:
• Perform preventative maintenance and basic manual repairs related to buildings, equipment, and/or grounds.
• Perform general upkeep which can include painting, basic carpentry, and/or groundskeeping.
• Clean external areas (e.g., parking lots, sidewalks, entranceways, exits).
• Perform lawn maintenance tasks.
• Complete and maintain related records such as maintenance logs.
• Communicate repair needs to management.
• Ensure all maintenance tools and cleaning equipment are maintained regularly.
• Report any observed or potential hazards immediately.
• Ensure compliance with Health and Safety regulations.
Potentially able to assemble bicycles.
THIS IS INTENDED TO BE A PART-TIME POSITION – 24 – 32 HOURS PER WEEK (3 – 4 DAYS PER WEEK)
NORMALLY THERE SHOULD NOT BE ANY NIGHT SHIFTS OR WEEKEND SHIFTS
THIS POSITION IS NOT SUITABLE FOR STUDENTS
THIS POSITION IS NOT SUITABLE FOR PERSONS WORKING TO OBTAIN PERMANENT RESIDENCY THROUGH “SPONSORSHIP”
Requirements / Skills
• Experience in a maintenance role
• Ability to handle physical demands including standing/walking for 8 hours while frequently lifting and carrying items, using a ladder, twisting, turning and reaching
• Available during daytime hours – Monday to Friday
* MUST HAVE A VALID DRIVERS LICENSE
* MUST HAVE A CLEAN DRIVERS ABSTRACT
Salary: $16.75- $18.00 Per Hour
